Congress

The importance of collective self-employment within the English production is unquestionable. Currently exist in Spain more than 3 million (3,104,000) of workers in the Special Scheme for Self-Employed, which are approximately 2 million individual workers, no one in charge. The collective self-employment is just 17.65% of all workers registered with the Security Social December 31, 2010.

At a time when concepts such as innovation, efficiency and productivity are key to the sustainability of the productive system, the approach of free technologies to collective self-employment will contribute to reducing the digital divide among all large companies, SMEs and microenterprises (including self-employed independent) that is widening. In addition, a greater knowledge and use of the possibilities offered free software to enable autonomous collective better use of the objective benefits involved.
public policy in building the Information Society Information regarding grants of equipment and an active Internet presence, we must add the direct actions of promotion and support at a fundamental level, the software. In this sense, it is necessary to continue promoting the use of free software in the environment of the self-employed, an alternative model to the annual expenditure is the acquisition of proprietary licenses, spending in Spain is estimated more than 5,000 million euros in licenses whose destination is USA regular.
